WHY WERE YOU GIVEN YOUR NAME?

My mother thought it was pretty and she liked how it looked with a C my middle name she took her bestfriend's name(nadine) and took the nay part so it's Lenay Chantel Lenay

well, my dad wanted a son... and he wanted him to be named after him... so when i came out my mother's womb... i got his name, and junior added to it Dwayne Anthony Dunham , Jr... for those who have my yahoo sn... that's why my sn is dadj_21 just got the 21 from my old middle school basketball # my mom was gonna call me Tony... and my dad's side of the family wanted to nickname me D.J., but my mom wasn't havin that but some how my nickname that my family gave me ended up being Junior... and my lil cousin became DJ

My mom wanted a unique name and she saw my name in a magazine; Talisa ( sounds like Ta-li-sa). Its Spanish. I like my name but I hate when people mess it up by saying Talisha, Tamisa etc :-( . My parents and friends call me 'Lissa for short. :-)

My parents were both told they were having a boy. They had decided to name me after my father and granfather, Clarence Edward Braxton III. When the nurses brought out a beautiful baby girl, they thought it was a mistake but soon realized it wasnt. Neither of them had thought of female names but somehow the name Sherita came to my mother's mind.....she says she had seen it in a book once. My daddy always liked the name Nicole....so there you have it Sherita Nicole Braxton.

My name, Trista, rhymes with my mom's name, Krista. Unfortunately, they didn't look up the meaning and it means to be sad. :sad:

My first name (Lee) comes from my dad's first name, and my middle name (Jarrett) comes from my mom's maiden name.
