Im transferring to a school in Houston and I just found out that people are dressing like Mr. Bentley. Ya'll know button ups with loud flashy ties..Sport coats, leather shorts and pants..Here's a pic I understand Kanye West and Common is hot right now. I just dont understand why everyone in that area are into that style..:???:

Yeah I'm going to have to agree with my fellow Texans. Being a Houstonian, I've never seen people dress like that at parties, or anywhere, either. Like someone else said, it's too hot for that. The whole button-down trend is pretty much over anyway. Trends at my school aren't anything special. Whatever's cute. One boy I know dresses like that though, but he looks like he's trying too hard, as do the boys in those pics.
Go to the web-site..Its full of parties held by students from University of Houston and Texas Southern..There are dozens and dozens of pics of **** dressing like Mr. Bentley
those pics date back to JULY 3rd 2005 I see what you're saying. But since I've been home for the summer, I haven't seen anybody at parties dressed like that. Those pics are probably from the winter, when the preppy, button-down and blazer thing was in. Cuz the only thing I've seen close to that have been the button-down and blazer trend and that was when I was a senior in high school and I'm about to be a sophomore.
Well, again, I haven't seen it. They could've just been wearin it to the party. I don't see why though when ithe temp is in the upper 90's everyday. And just a question: Are you worried about the fashion trends at the school you're about to attend so you can fit in or somethin? B/c please: do you.
No..I just find it funny that people are dressing like Mr. Bentley

It's lame how all them dudes are dressed alike. Get ya own style. Might as well dress color coded in the same clothes. If it was only like one person was rockin that one style, and I'm sure he would try to make it fit him as an individual, but they all are wearing the SAME STYLE :???:

You'll see for yourself when you are actually there. You're debating with people who actually live or been to that area. You can't judge people's style off of a couple a pics on the internet and pics of people at parties (who have a reason to dress up in the first place).

Ok so these are parties with students from the University of Houston and Texas Southern, did you take into account that there are people there from areas besides Houston or Texas as a whole for that matter. Also these people are at a party, for all we know there could be a theme. Just because they dress like this at a party doesn't mean they dress like that on a regular basis. When somebody stroll up on you in the Uof H/ TSU area trust they won't be wearing all of that.
