Okay what i don't get is why do men try to impress some ladies by playing a lot of rap music on a date? Should a male play music such as Musiq, Floetry, and Jaheim or 50, diplomats, Nas on the first date?

Im feelin the jazz music yo, if any of yall listen to Soulive, that jazz band is like jazz, hiphop, r&b, and funk all rolled into one, i'd go for that.. also if it was a first date, i'd prolly play some middle of the road music, not Bonecrusher, but not R.Kelly, maybe some ole retro Tribe Called Quest, or even better on that jazz/hiphop tip, some Hidden Beach, Unwrapped Jazz, basically a jazz band playin hiphop songs.. OR if i really wanted to impress a chick.... I'D PLAY MY OWN STUFF... peace

I think that R&B is the best music to get the mood going on a first date. You can relax and chill while playing R&B. Sometimes the music can tell how you are feeling during the date. If you are playing soft, nice music, u could be showing that you are calm and relaxed and you want your date to be too. (and if you feeling a little freaky..you could slip in "Say Yes" or some old Jodeci  )

For the first date maybe some Luke "Me So ****" music should be in the background. Nah maybe Babyface, that's always perfect for any occasions. Cause he don't just do one type of love song. He has about a hundred different types. First date, 2 week anniversary, love makin, gettin back together, anything you can think of Babyface has it. Not just one first date song, about 50 at least.

On a first date...I'd prefer you to be you and play what you feel like hearing. All that mood stuff can come in later...especially if its a first date. I know what the songs are saying I wanna know what you saying. I can tolerate just about any music so it doesnt matter.

On a first date with a guy I have to say R&b because I like the mood to be mellow instead of hearing all dat banging music in my ears. If I wanted to hear all the get crunk rap music, I would had a night out with my girls instead!!

LL Cool J - Doin It It's not exactly "rap" and it's not R&B... but it will get things jumpin' off.
lol, i bet. For the most part I would prefer R&B unless the rap artist is Nas.

Any **** the listens to Soulive definitely knows what's up. Anyway, I like playing slow jams. Stuff from back in the day like Jodeci and whatnot. That really gets the conversation flowing. But nothing that's too slow or suggestive. You gotta save the baby makin CD for the second date...

*mik suprised sosa hasn't said anything in this topic* To be real....first date or no first date I'm gonna be me and bump what I usually bump in my whip.....if I feel like hip hop then I'm gonna play hip hop......sometimes a bro likes a lil R&B.....so I'm gonna play that.....if she has a particular preference and doesn't want to hear one then I would respect her wishes and try to accomodate her....but I'm not gonna play no R&B to try to enchance tha vibe in hopes to get tha yonie......now if we chillin at tha rest....thats a whole different story......I might be thinkin wit that head that doesn't think of my rhymes
