So are you in support of hazing? Famous people probably wouldn't care if they got respect from other Greeks. They are millionaires and why should they care what anyone thinks? If they are famous, and a part of a Greek org, they were probably humanitarians to begin with. Most celebrities do a lot of charity work, and Greek orgs come to them because of what they are already doing in the community. Alicia Keys, for example, does a lot of work with **** research and fundraising. She has been doing that for years way before AKA approached her for membership. So for you to say they don't get respect, isn't true. They get respect from outsiders, and the people that they are impacting in a positive way. When people become grown, who cares about the respect factor of the Greeks? That is really callow! A person still has their letters, and will always be a member regardless of what anyone thinks. Like you mentioned before, they pay their thousand and they will be a member for life.
Those people that talk about, not respecting, honorary members are the main ones that aren't putting their money where their mouth is. Those honorary members donate a lot of money to these Greek orgs, and guess what? They are on the national websites of these organizations. You don't see an average joe on the website, you see the famous people! So..who get's the recognition by the nationals? Someone who pledged and got beat down mentally and physically or the one who's been doing what the Greek orgs have been founded upon (before being approached for membership)
without being verbally and physically abused? I think the latter answers that question. You can find that answer when you view these Greek national websites and see who's on the front page.

That is none of your concern what I am. It seems like you are sending a mixed message. On one message thread, you are talking about denouncing your letters because of religious reasons and now you are on this thread supporting hazing. So which is it going to be? Are you against the sin and hurt that people cause others, when they haze, or are you for it?

People that actually pledge still have memories of the words that people spoke into their lives to devalue them. I don't care how much they say they are proud they went through the process, they will still carry the hurt the words caused years down the road. Majority of the people that go through hazing battle depression, insecurity, and other mental issues down the road. Anything God has, for people, doesn't require you to be hurt to be a part of it. Jesus was beat and went through shame so we don't have to. So why do we have to be beat and go through humiliation for some worldly stuff? That hazing stuff isn't of God, it's of Satan. When you go against God's word and commandments, to love people and treat others like how you want to be treated, you are stepping off into something else that isn't of God.
Your arms are too short to box with God. So people need to be very careful with messing with God's people in the name of a Greek org. Some girls tried to haze me before, and I saw them actually going through some stuff afterwards. Even though I prayed for them to be saved, God doesn't like people messing with his children and he will defend his people. People don't know the prayers or the confessions you speak over yourself, and they mess around and bump up against your anointing. Which isn't a good thing. So when you try to do evil things to people, such as hazing, you don't know what prayers or words people are confessing over themselves. Then you make it a personal battle with God, because God will step in to defend his people. I know this guy who was hazed undergrad. He is a Christian guy. He told me that all the guys that hazed him all started experiencing bad stuff after the incidents, and they reaped what they sowed. Sowing and reaping is a universal law. Whatever seeds you put in the ground is what you are going to reap. So if people want to be blessed, they should refrain from doing such acts.
