Jimmy Carter is the best one that I can come up with. His Presidency was one of the greatest this country has ever experienced. But that's not what I wanna refer to. His best work has come after he left the Oval Office. His main accomplishment being his integral part in working with Habitat For Humanity International. He's actually gotten more recognition for was he's doing now than for doing some of the great things that he did in office. The Carter Center is internationally known for helping with peace, elections in third world countries, and worlwide health problems. He's not just running around handing out gifts and saying "Oh please give... pretty please." He's sitting and talking with these people through the whole process. While he's doing things with HFHI, he's actually
working on the houses as well, not just paying other people to do it. He mediates peace processes. He assists in helping people become self sustaining. He not only does it around the world, but he does it in the
United States. Hell the man went back to his hometown (Plains, GA) and actually teaches Sunday School while he's at home...
