Was reading an article on the missing girl in Aruba. The father said" S he was supposed to pledge a sorority this weekend" Remember she was/is an entering freshman. Do you think white frat and sorority members are less dedicated and committed tham BLOG's? They make it so easy and appear so "welcoming" for aspirants. Come on in and move into this fabulous house on campus. My co-worker says her son's house has a chef in 2X weekly. Yes, I AM D9, before paper, when hazing was an open secret , so I am acquainted with the process. Do we have to do all this to make you "love" the org . is my question.

hmmm
what's the big deal
it's a handshake
some of these greeks think they're jesus or something
I'm not saying y'all have to invite them over for dinner and a movie later
but act like you have some manners
The whole thing with handshaking is this:
You're Greek, and there's line of people waiting to speak to you after an event. The only reason they want to speak to you is because they want to be Greek too; if you weren't Greek they probably wouldn't even give you the time of day. So person number 1 out of 30 comes up to you and wants to shake your hand. She's in a 3 piece suit and she just finished sitting through a 2 hour program where she probably spent the entire time thinking about how much she wants to be a member. Her hands are probably sweating, and she puts her hand out to shake yours.
Lets cut the pretense. We're not trying to get to know each other so we can be pals, you're trying to gain brownie points with me. I could be a germaphobe, your hands could be sweaty, so many different issues. Personally I've always thought that hand-shaking was superfluous in everyday society, so why not cut the crap at the programs as well. How does me shaking your hand make me any more likely to pick you. Especially if you have rough skin or something...
That was a joke people. But for real, hand shaking= pointless
