NO..he's not right because he's thinking from a selfish point of view. He is constantly telling someone what their "role" should be but yet he doesn't know his.

I used the family situation only b/c the topic was about career vs. housewife, implying the woman had a family already. So if the woman didn't have a family, the comment wouldn't be applicable at all.

Well, i can't argue with your statement about him. :???: Maybe if the comment had come from someone else it might not have been taken as so offensive.

*Sedi* Asking me the definition of a woman is really hard. There's so many examples that you can use, but if you say "this certain thing is a real woman", it's false, b/c there's real women all over the place. A real woman is just a woman who believes in what she believes in, and sticks by it to me, and a person who doesn't run from her problems no matter what they are. But, when you get a family involved, your focus has to shift from being all about you to being all about your family as a whole, and you being the last person in your order of importance. I really just think the phrase, "a real woman", is what separates a person who still thinks like a girl, to a person who thinks as a woman.

sorry Sedi.... :-D ok. im liking your definition, but this doesn't really sound like what demmeri was implying. i will probably put my husband before me, but not because i'm supposed to. only because if i really love him that what i would want to do...

Wow, I don't know if u even realized or were trying to but you basically just summed up everything i was trying to say with that one little sentence . "Putting the people you love before yourself." :-)

to be a real man, i'd have to do what i have to do in order to make more money...go back to school whatnot...naw nevamind... well, i'd make up for it by doing more things around the house...cooking, cleaning, fixing up stuff...i'd continue to do anything around the house that my wife can't do....i dunno i'd have to do something in order to take command of my household and to make sure that i always have the repect of those who live there... sure she can make more money, but i'd have to do whatever i'd have to do to get that repect as head of household...(not neccesaarily the main finanicial provider...the crap you put on income tax)..

a womans purpose is to be a nurturer which means to take care of the kids.thats part of the prupose God made woman.that is the role whether yall like it or not.not saying you cant go out and get a job or whatever but women are first in line when it comes to taking care of the kids.why do you think women are so amazingly good at taking care of kids??because its their nature!!.look in elementary and middle schoold.most teachers are what...women...because a woman is vital to a child in their early years and its funny how it actually translates to the schools.you move up in the school system(hs and college) you start to see more men. this is where more discipline and whatnot comes into the picture....

Who gives a rats behind whether you want to date a white female or not. Thats your problem not mine. Furthermore, your comments are so inconsistant. First you say this is the wifes role, then you switch it up. Make up your mind. Don't change how you feel on the sake of little ole me. Anyway, I'm all for respect BUT it goes both ways. You can't command something if you're not able to give in return. Remember, that she is your equal so, you don't make decisions alone.
