So I got this question from the latest VIBE magazine...and the choices were: Tupac, Will Smith, Queen Latifah, Mos Def, Ludacris, DMX, and Ice CUbe. Who you think made the best transition into acting and why? I'll be back with mine later....

I'd say Will Smith and Queen Latifah. In my opinion, they've done great jobs in acting, and they continue to play good roles in the entertainment industry. I really liked their performances in the movies/tv shows, so I think that either one of them made the best transition into acting.

I liked HUSH myself. He was crazy as hell in that movie.

K, ...if we are talkin about serious "acting" here, meaning jumping out of your own character and portraying another persona, i'm gonna have to be real. I only really see that done well by Will Smith, Queen Latifah, and Mos Def. Don't get me wrong, Ice Cube and Tupac, but in my opinion...their work isn't all that versatile. Whether it's Anaconda, Friday, or Boyz in Da Hood...i have never seen an extreme difference in Cube's roles. Seems like he's just being himself.

Ice Cube did a great job of differientating himself as an actor and as a rapper. Watching his movies sometimes, I forget he was a gangsta rapper.

Yo, I wanna know why did it take so long for someone to say Pac? Juice is the joint! Poetic Justice is the joint! Hell, even Gridlock'd was decent...
