^^^ OH PUH-LEEZE :x ...I SWEAR it hurts more when ya OWN people cant even let us have SUMTHING to ourselves...That whole " white so u gotta be right " mentality sickens me. Britney is POP. POINT BLANK PERIOD...you and I both know it.
He knows it girl. I don't understand these people who get a thrill out of being ignorant on this board....it's not cute at all.
The only thing I know is that you're a lil **** who lost her virginity when you were barely out of high school. Just because I have a different opinion about who I think is hip hop doesn't make me ignorant. What ignorant is that none of you have any musical knowledge at all about some of these people you are calling r&b/hip hop and where they actually get some of their sound and writings from.

Have what to ourselves? Why must Hip hop just belong to black people? Why must the fukkin color even matter if you're making music. Britney is hip hop to me and to the RIAA/Billboard charts which is all that matters newayz.
Honey you just dont get it...For you to say BRITNEY SPEARS of all people is hip hop is a slap in the face to Tupac, Biggie, Run DMC, Jay Z, Nas, and a PLETHORA of other tru hip hop musicians...Pac and Biggie prolly turnin in their graves to hear hip hop being trivialized to the likes of Britney fukkin Spears. And its not that Hip Hop has to just blacks...Hell, you coulda put Eminem up there and I wouldnt had no problem cause he is a tru rap artist. But just cause she has a few black producers doesnt mean shes hip hop. and Britney KNOWS BETTER not to even come out her mouth and say she is HIP HOP cause she would be makin ALOTTA people upset. Plus SHE KNOWS she is POP...so let her be. And like Megan said, when has Britney EVER been on a hip hop/r&b chart? But like I said...we cant have sh*t to ourselves...whether they takin our men, our music, our clothes, our hairstyles, and even our slang. I dont care how much they bite off our ENTIRE culture they still gonna look at you and me as inferior and just another n*ggER so dont u forget it, and dont be so quick to believe that your beloved Britney Spears doesnt feel the same way. I gotta go cause this topic is making me upset and reminding me of why I dont care for white people like that.

KEYWORD HIP HOP and R&B COUPLES !!!!
KEYWORD Britney--I'm A **** 4 U - Produced by Neptunes, Boys Original and Co-ed Remix - Produced by Neptunes, The Answer - P. Diddy, Lonely - Rodney Jerkins, Satisfaction - Rodney Jerkins, Outrageous - R. Kelly. countless other hip hop songs she's done. Kevin- Hip Hop dancer I believe this makes them a Hip Hop couple.
Sweety they are not hip hop and you knew that. Just because a black producer produced a couple of her songs doesn't mean she is hip-hop.
It's not even about the color of the artist or producers that make you R&B or Hip hop. It's the sound. If this is the case then: Whitney, Beyonce, Jay-Z need not be in this thread.
She SOUNDS pop, never sounded r&b to me. She don't even have soul. Whitney, Beyonce, & Jay Z have soul. Their are a lot of white hip-hop/ r&b producers, so it's not about the color. in repsonse to you and jamila: ohh please don't turn this around on me its you and jamila that were making this out to be about color. yeah beyonce and whitney got soul, never said they didn't but if everybody was to go by your analogy then they shouldn't be in this list because their hit r&b/hip hop songs were produced by white artist. Jay-z sampled MADONNA on the black album worked with rock producers worked with linkin park. but if everybody thought like you then he shouldnt be considered hip hop.
