Some country clubs are more lenient in admissions. At the end of the day, Greeks and Country Clubs are privately funded so they have the right to admit whomever they want.

You still didn't explain how its public. You just compared one type of private org to another and listed irrelevant (incorrect in some cases)differences. again... explain how they are public.

Um... I don't see how Greek organizations are marketed to everyone. And not everyone can be admited. No one ever came up to me and said "Wanna join XYZ". I had to privately pursue my interests. However, country clubs can say, Hey do you want to join Country Club XYZ? BLGOs don't have to admit everyone. If that were the case, everyone on the street would be walking around with letters. If we admit everyone, then why even bother with an application process.

ChangePlease I really can't understand why you think that Greek Orgas are public, cuz they aren't. They are private orgs. that are funded privately from any other persons or public orgs. They don't have to adhere to any certain criteria except for their own. And even then they have the right to obey it or not (PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG :? ). So to say that Greek orgs are public when they don't even follow the same standards, rules, and practices such as public orgs OR are funded by any public monies is just, well, dumb. Not sayin that u're stupid or idiotic, jus sayin that ur facts aren't straight. U shuld do more reseach on public and private orgs and what sets them apart. Just a suggestion! 8)
