Alright, bottom line. Any school can call themselves whatever they want. If Hampton feels so entitled, then let them call themselves the "Harvard of the South". The question is does Harvard recognize them as such? Sorry Hamptonians, but no. Don't believe me? Check it for yourself. At Harvard Law for the 2003 - 2004 school year, Howard had 8 graduates in the law school, FAMU had 5, Morehouse and Spelman each had 4, while Hampton only had 2 graduates enrolled. Still don't believe me? You check it . . . www.Harvard.edu. Now tell me this, Morehouse, Spelman, Hampton, and FAMU are all in the south. So who really deserves the title of "Harvard of the South" and who is recognized as such? I'm gonna go w/ Morehouse, then Spelman, then FAMU, and I don't even think Hampton really makes the list. Morehouse has 2900 students and Spelman with about 1900 respectively, yet each had 4 students enrolled in Harvard Law. FAMU on the other hand enrolled 5, however there student population is nearly 3 times that of Morehouse and 4 times that of Spelman, having around 9000 students. Hampton, however, with a student population of 5700 enrolled ONLY 2 students. SOOOOO "Harvard of the South" where do you stand in terms of statistics? Why is it that Black Enterprise ranked Morehouse #1 and Hampton #2? Why is that Hampton did not gain University status until 1984 and we've held it for long over 70 years? Why did the Wall Street Journal rank us 29 out of all the schools in the nation for being a top feeder school to Ivy League grad. schools, yet Hampton's name was nowhere to be found on the list? Why does our alumni list read names like Martin Luther King Jr. (Civil Rights Activist), David Satcher (Former U.S. Surgeon General), Maynard Jackson (former Mayor of Atlanta and CEO of Jackson-Hewitt Enterprises), Louis Sullivan (Former Secretary of Health and Human Services), Charles Willie (Distinguished Professor of Urban Studies at Harvard University), and the list goes on and on and on . . . yet your list comprises names of D.J.'s and other no names?! That's all I have to say, let the numbers and names speak for themselves. But keep doing what you do HAMPTONIANS! Holla at ya boy . . .

^^^^R u really sure about that ****.... I mean really sure. Sorry to bust ya bubble, but Morehouse is a college. Not a University. What makes a UNIVERSITY is a graduate program. You know, the issuance of graduate degrees, i.e. a Master's/Doctorate program. Where's ur Tier 1 Master's program??? Thought so... Secondly, you talk about Harvard recognizing a school as the Harvard of the South. HAHAHA. As far as I know Harvard has not named a successor as such, so Morehouse is **** out of luck. If Morehouse was the Harvard of the South, people would call it such, it was claimed already by Hampton. Geezus, why's everyone harping on Hampton. Like I said, if your school doesnt have a legacy of that then create something for you! Have a nice day.

Who cares if you have a tier 1 master's program? Who has it graduated? When was it ranked in the top 50? THOUGHT SO! Put something of substance to back up what you say BRUH! Until then, I have nothing else to say to you.
