Just because women are nurturers of the earth doesn't mean that it's our sole responsibility to take care of the kids.Maybe, thats how things were back in the day but we as a people have evolved.Men no longer go hunting for food to bring back for the women to prepare. I'm not saying that those same traditions can't be applied to today's marriage but there really isn't any kind of balance. Speaking as a career woman, i probably will not have time nor desire to be a "soccer mom". Thats why there is a need for both parents to share responsibility and thats not happening in today's home. Women end up doing everything and most can't even handle it. Furthermore, Society and tradition is what influences how a family is run. Most times nothing else but egos...

thats what i said...go get a job and do whatever the heck you want...you want a career, do it.and i feel u on sharing the responsibility of ther kids.but the truth is, a womans role in the early development of a child is much more improtant than a man.not saying a man shouldnt be part of the early years but a woman is more important.now as far as decision making and all of that, decisions should be made together.but it goes both ways.for some odd reason, when men go out and buy something without consulting the wife, the wife gets all mad, but when yall wanna go out and have a big **** shoppping spree, there isnt a problem...wtf?!

I don't think it's more important...I refuse to be like most moms. Call me selfish..I dont care but i'm not gonna be the one to always feed the baby, bath them , change their diapers ect. I'm not gonna do it by myself. that's the only thing i'm saying. While he sittin on the couch drinking a beer and watching football. It aint happenin'. I would think that a man wouldn't want his wife doing all of that. Maybe, i grew up in a fantasy type world. Who knows??? But if i'm not valued, then he's gonna catch hell. As far as shopping goes...If it's not your money then don't worry about it. I can give you advice on how to spend your dough but i can't tell you what to do with it unless its -- a.mine or b. from our joint account. This is why both should also have separate accounts.
