My Fellow Greeks, Do you talk as freely to GDIs on campus as you do here? Open/Unmoderated Greek Forums are breeding grounds for Perps. Open/Unmoderated Greek Forums also give Aspirants a great deal of information that many of you had to learn firsthand through your journey to Greekdom. Save those conversations for private listservs and moderated boards. Some of you folks explain far too much at times. You've shown yourself to worthy in someone's eyes, you don't need props from anyone else in reference to your Frat or Sorority. Yes a lot of these people you interact with here were your friends before you crossed, but they aren't in your GLO. Loose Lips Sink Ships. Fraternally Yours, laidbackfella

This is how I feel...if Greeks feel they are giving us aspriants too much information then the ball really is and always will be in YOUR courts cause we can never know anything that you all dont tell us. So to ease any concerns about greeks telling gdi's too much is at the end of the day a simple answer. Dont respond to questions that you all would feel is " giving away too much and making things too easy. " I dont understand why thats so difficult to do.
Good point. Usually those who give out way too much info, probably never learned the true meaning of discretion, since they probably had nothing to be discrete about.
Give them some of this.

::shocked:: O wow! that really turned this post around. I dont think conclusions as the such should be drawn...even if it's in a joking way.

True. Change is right, aspirants do need basic information. The problem is not with getting it though, the problem is with how you go about getting it. There are many books out there that can help you get this basic information. With the technology there is now, you can simply type in the name of an org. in a search engine. You can't expect members to hand you info and most likely it wasn't handed to them. If you want something bad enough, you're willing to take it upon YOURSELF to learn about it and become familiar with it...it makes you want it even more.

Actually they NEED nothing from GLO's except for a fair and impartial process if they are given they chance to make it on someone's line. They NEED go to class and do their work. They NEED to be actively doing community service. There is no amount of information obtained beforehand that will help them if they are selected to continue with any given GLO.
