Legacy or Not

My father crossed a GLO and I was looking into pledging the same thing. I really want to get in on my own Merit rather then using his name to "coast in" would it be more wise to go in as a legacy or to just not mention it. How would they know anyways? And If I decided I want to pledge another organization, would that be looked down on for not following my father's path?

Oop-Zee! No you're not the 1st. We noticed it a few days ago. And I try to always remain nice. I'm just a very direct person. I respect those who respect me. I don't deal in ambiguous and suspect behavior, and I will put such behavior on Front Street. [BTW...The Blue and White Fam has always been nuthin' but cool to me, so you and my fellow potna in Trauma gets nuthin' but LUV. My best friend is a Zeta, and my granfather was a Sigma.]

^^ Exactly, I mean it's all about you and where you're heart is at...I could have went legacy like my mother and majority of the females in my family and pledged AKA but I would have only done that to please them. I mean don't get me wrong, my mother was not happy at all when I came in the crib sayin' OOO-OOOPPP( she actually thought I was joking)....but she did get over it because i'm still her child with or w/o my naila on.
Oooo-oop, my soror!!!! It's great that your mother is so supportive of you, because I have known families to have some serious problems due to a family member pledging differently. You say that you could have pledged legacy like your mother, but I beg to differ, soror. You are perfectly made in the image of our trailblazing founders. Although you "come from" AKAs, you knew there was more. You sought and found true sisterhood. Oo-oop!
Ooo-Oooppp soror, i'm sorry I just read this But, you are so correct I AM (yanno, u need to clarify on this board...I don't want anyone havin' a cyber seizure or anything  ) SOOOO HAPPY I SOUGHT AND FOUND TRUE SISTERHOOD...Elephant hugsssssss & Crimson Kisses
