Hair Question:
I know for a fact that I can't stand random people doing my hair (relaxers mainly), do most girls just go back home for things of that nature, find shops in the DC area, or (God forbid) have a roomy hook them up???
I know this question probably depends on how far away one is from home.....so if it applies just disregard option #1

Yep, there are the Bisonettes (perform during bball games and outstanding competition winners), Vision dance team (a hip hop dance squad that emerged within the last few years), NSAA (african rhythmic dancing), the liturgical chapel dancers (dance at chapel services and churches in the area), and i'm sure there are a slew of others that i'm forgetting or not describing correctly lol.
But let me say this, don't let the fact that it's difficult deter you from trying out. If dancing is your passion, and oh la la is something that you really want to do...then go for it. Just know that it isn't the ONLY thing that you can do at HU, and that there are always other options you can explore. Before coming to HU I saw an article about the university in Ebony and one of the pics they had was of the HUSA president (student government). I looked at my mother and said "that is gonna be me one day".
Well long story short, I never ended up being HUSA president lol. But I accomplished so many other things while I was here. Were there things that I applied/auditioned/tried out for that I didn't get? Of course. But God has a plan and purpose for all things, and I am right where I need to be. And you will be too.

Honestly.... ten times out of ten, I won't have the money. Hell I work now and I don't have a penny to my name ::sad face:: Maybe if momz is feeling sorry for me she'll send some money up my way. I stay in NC so I doubt I wanna make a 5 hr drive down here every other month. I'm not trying to be Beyonce up in college but I dayum sure ain't trying to be Lil Jon either....I just wanna look somewhat decent when people see me.
