Hello everyone! I'm a new member of HBCUCONNECT.COM. I need to talk to a Spelman alumni or either someone who is enrolled now. I really want to go there but I want to make sure I am making the right choice. I would appreciate any response. Thanks a lotta much LOL

Yes, Spelman has amenities in Read Hall. They have a fitness room,weight room, swimming pool, and basketball court; not mention those two semesters of PE. The gym is open in the morning from 7-9am, in the middle of the afternoon from 12-1pm, and in the evening from 5pm-9pm. So get your exercise on!

To all the Ladies deciding to attend Spelman: Know that you are making the right decision. There is NO college like Spelman. The sisterhood and the atmosphere is immeasurable to any other college. It is a struggle at times, but know that in the end, it will all be worth it. I am a freshman and I have had my many struggles trying to adjust to life away from home and the whole Spelman college and AUC atmosphere. But, I stuck with it, and I LOVE IT!!! To be a Spelman woman is an honor. Congradulations to all the ladies that will be entering in the fall of 2005!!!! Hope to see you all here. Your Spelman sisters are waiting for you.... if you have any questions, be sure to hit me up.

I'm wondering the SAME thing...I got my tentative financial award letter yesterday but have not heard anything about scholarships, and based upon from the very little $$ they gave me so far, I'm gonna need for them to give me a scholarship :???:!!!
