I was just wondering which HBCUs are known to have the highest academic standards and best reputation for excellence? I did a little research on it before, but the only schools I can still remember are...
Howard
Morehouse
Clark
Spelman
FAMU
Hampton
Dillard
Stillman
Xavier
Tuskegee
I know there were at least one or two more on my original list, but can't remember what they were. Any glaring omissions?
Also, what academic area are these schools best known for? For example, I know FAMU has an excellent reputation for business.
Finally, what are the top 2 or 3 HBCUs to attend for an education degree?
I know that's a lot of info to ask for, but I have 3 or 4 friends considering attending HBCUs that are asking me for advice, and I don't know enough to tell them. Thanks in advance for any help.
When was it ranked in the Top 50, this year, the year before, etc etc. I'm mad you really thought you shut me down like I didnt have any proof or something. You betta ask somebody man, you wont win an argument with Slim like that. Either click the link or just take my word for the fact that HU is ranked 28 on the graduate level.
What's your ranking... whoops. I forgot you dont have a graduate program, thus... no ranking
****, iunno how u gonna consider your school the Harvard of anything and you dont have that at least.
Finally, since you seem to be harping on alumni, and are too lazy to scroll to page 3 where some people named a few, lemme repeat those for you.
I can also name some specifics, such as Major General Wallace Arnold, Commander of the US Army ROTC, George R. Lewis, the treasurer and VP of Phillip Morris, Julia Cooper Mack, first black woman admitted to the Washington Bar and the Senior Judge on the DC Court of Appeals, John H. Sengstacke, Owner of the Chicago Defender and the National Newspaper Publishers Association. Now, what were you saying?
By the way, it helps when you list rankings to list the context of those rankings. Morehouse was ranked #1 for Black students, while on some different lists however Morehouse could very well be ranked differently. Again, have a good day
