I just wanted to know why do guys send text messages, instead of picking up and calling a woman? I've noticed that in this new generation of dating, that guys are doing a lot of texting. Why not just pick up the phone and call? I'm just wondering why even bother about asking for my number if you are going to text. I feel that you should just ask for my email address if you are going to write. Anyway, fella's give me your thoughts on this and the reason why you do this.
If a guy doesn't have the decency to respect me by dialing my number, don't even bother about sending me a sorry text. He can save that! If he is that busy, I would just appreciate if he would just wait until he is not busy and just call. Women are going to have to hold these men to a higher standard and make them be gentlemen. Also, it can go both ways. Women should wait until they aren't busy and just return a guy's phone call. If he was courteous enough to call, then a women should be respectful and return his call later when she's not busy.

When do I send a txt message instead of a call?
1. When I'm in the middle of doing something important, that a phone call would interrupt, but I still want to acknowledge the other person.
2. When I just need to ask something quick that doesn't require a whole conversation.
3. When I'm in public and I don't necessarily want spectators listening in on my convo.
As others said... txt doesn't replace a call... it's just an added tool in the arsenal.
