**THE OFFICIAL HAMPTON/HOWARD THREAD**

Since Howard and Hampton prospects seem to make a new thread every week regarding their prospective schools, this is the official thread for all business involving the two HUs. This is not a thread to argue over which is "the REAL HU," but rather a place for yall to brag about your acceptance letters, ask questions about the school, and talk to people who go there. Instead of making another is-it-hard-to-get-to-howard-what-goes-down-at-hampton-why-is-the-ocean-blue post. !HAPPY POSTING! (i myself applied to one of those schools by the way....)

I have a question. Nobody has said anything about the availability of wireless internet. Is it available and if so do I have to buy the card and necessary hardware?
The entire campus is wireless. My laptop came with the wireless card and it was already configured so I didn't have to worry about all that. If your laptop isn't configured you just take it to ISAS and they will take care of it for you.

Registration started to day! what are people registering for are you have any problems with schedules just a chance to see if anybodys going for the same classes. P.S. does anyone know where Annex 1 is? I might have to change a class because theres only ten minutes for me to get from Annex to Douglass Hall

If you can change your Af-Am class to get in Dr. Carr's section. And definitely stick with Goodlet for math.

Nothings wrong with Jackson, I just think that Carr is the better instructor of the two. You should definitely take a class with Dr. Carr before you graduate from HU.

Okay, um. Don't know anything about Okapala. Alpha's feet are supposed to be really off the chain and he always has his shoes off cuz its Judo. Try to avoid his feet. Bostick (French IV) is a huge ****. I missed 1 session of his class because my mother died and I had to go home, yet he wouldn't let me make up the homework I missed because he said I "should have told him before". :o Livingston makes people's life a hell in Sociology, but to be honest, its the whole Sociology Dept. not just him. He makes you write these long **** autobios at the end of the semester. Carr is much better than Jackson. Unless Afro is your major, it doesn't matter whether you take Afro 1 or Afro 2. I took Afro 2 my first semester with Carr. He's easy and fun, a Howard legend. Afro 1 is boring, I think it covers from Africa to our arrival in the Americas and Afro 2 covers everything after that. So Afro 1 is not a prerequisite for Afro 2. That's the same with things such as Humanities 1 and Humanities 2, Afro Lit to 1940 and Afro Lit from 1940. However, in math, econ and stuff like that, go in order. Goodlet is good, he really cares. He has a thick accent tho. Hope I've been of some help.
