I'm not a N*gga!!

Due to recent post and extreme use of the word I thought that I would make this post. I wrote a novel called "I'm not a n*gga", that explained the history of the word and how it has evolved and the power that it has had on our people. Well the overall purpose of that novel (really short story) was to tell why we shouldn't refer to each other as n*ggas and how it is hypocritical to get mad at another race for using it when you use it everyday. Everybody who knows me knows that I can't stand the word (just ask Wizdom and FAMU_first) I try to protest when ever I hear somebody using it but I find that I am often alone in my thinking and to many people it has just become another word, and it is often too energy consuming. I think there was a post like this before but, HOW DO Y'ALL FEEL ABOUT THE WORD N*GGA!

I don't like the word. I would be a liar if I say I haven't used the word, but I felf guilty using it in that way of, how could I used a word that has been used to demean my ancestors?

i must admi that i have said it.........but i never heard the word used so much until i went to college growing up that word was not allowed to come from our mouths and if it did their would be consequences and repercussions.......i too often expressed to people how we shouldnt use that word and it wasnt until recently that i realized i had been using it after coming to my senses i have sensed stopped using the word cause i feel like we all know where the "N" word stems from then why do we as a race accept it? why do we now use it to refer to one another? i strongly feel that blacks should erase this word from our vocabulary because we are the only race of people that refer to ourselves the way our oppressors used to. how can we expect our youth to take pride in their heritage if we are discracing our ancestors?

^^^^oooh, dang, gurl, LOL, you're reply was funny...."i'm gettin' mad just typin'" sometimes that happens to me. anyways, I feel you on other people saying it. Too many times I had to tell the asians and hispancs don't say it around me. And I know what you mean about the white folks. where I work at, they always come around saying "what's up dawg" or "what's up playa" and they blaccent be all of too. lol Most of the time i don't trip, but it does kinda make me think for a minute. A, I see you a Floss Angeles native, what school you go to??
Gurl, you've never heard of my school. I go to Immaculate Heart in Los Feliz right next door to Griffith Park. What about u?
LOL LOL OH MY SNAP! Heard of that school.....I've been up there twice!! My play cousin goes there, her name is Bre'Anna. She told me that all the black people up there no each other, so I figure you might know her. She was in that ridiculous play, Working. The school is really nice, but she says its racist. I don't know.

She was not lying when she said all the Black people know each other. I know her, she's a freshman right? Yeah, but a lot of the Black people say that it's racist but I don't believe that. Everyone has always been really nice to me, I've never had any trouble with teachers or students so I guess it all depends on how you look at it. But anywyaz, what school do you go to?

Ok to bump the post up, I know we have talked about it a lot but another spin on it. I know you have heard Fat Joe's, Lean Back. He uses N*gga at least 30 times in that song and he is not black yet nobody seems to have a problem with that. I don't get it. Would it be the same if Eminem came out and used it. Do you guys even care if other races use it anymore?

That is the same question I've been asking people! Why does nobody say anything about it? He's not Black! What makes it okay for him to say the "n" word?
