Frats/Soror's and GPA

I've wanted to be apart of a certain Black frat and have my goals set on it but the only thing is i currently have a 2.2 but with freshman forgivness taking my worst grade away and summer school grads i should have about a 2.5 overall gpa. i saw that some frats require a certain gpa what is the gpa for your frat and do you think that they will check?

I mean are we "GDI"s" supposed to show you a certain level of respect that you don't show us. You all come on here and call people ignorant because of something that we don't know... Yes ignorant means not knowing something but instead of leading a person into a certain direction to where we can find the information to which we are seeking you tend to try to put us down... but then you expect us to treat you as a queen or something... I'll be damned if I kiss anybodies a$$. I don't know you and I doubt a million and one times that I will ever meet you... Just because you have three letters across your chest does not mean that the "golden rule" does not apply to you. So if you want respect from me then you gotta show it. I never once came at you disrespectful... and if you feel as if I did then you were misled.

Especially when they jump down your throat "just because" they feel that have to fill a certain persona'...... Your ok...because one thing they STRESS is if you don't know something take the time to SIT BACK and read and understand it...so you know if you said you learned something in this thread thats good because that was it's purpose after awhile wasnt it? Don't let them get to you...continue to be a silent spectator ...speak when you feel the notion too and don't let anyone have you hold back because they wear letters on their chest....they are human too and for some just a year ago they were walking around as "GDI's"

thanks. I was starting to feel that I was all by myself.... But I have been reading these threads for about a month... I have only come across one thread where they weren't jumping down they throat... and although I am a "GDI" I have done alot of research I have been researching for about a year and a half now. I have books, I have done the websites... but I still have questions... however I won't ask them here because i have learned not to from them I would hate to be embarassed. But I guess they are protecting their sorority/fraternity. and I respect that. I'm sure that if it's meant for me to know then I will find out.

^^^^^ I have already joined the greekpeeps site... I'm still waiting to be verified... It's been about 3 weeks and they haven't sent me another email... I followed all the directions and everything. I'm still researching and they haven't caused me to lose interest... Actually they have caused me to search harder... I have come across alot of helpful threads such as the book threads... and some people were nice enough to give helpful websites... I appreciate everything and i will still continue to read silently until I feel the need to speak openly. (which is rare) But I would also like to thank you also.
