I'm not a N*gga!!

Due to recent post and extreme use of the word I thought that I would make this post. I wrote a novel called "I'm not a n*gga", that explained the history of the word and how it has evolved and the power that it has had on our people. Well the overall purpose of that novel (really short story) was to tell why we shouldn't refer to each other as n*ggas and how it is hypocritical to get mad at another race for using it when you use it everyday. Everybody who knows me knows that I can't stand the word (just ask Wizdom and FAMU_first) I try to protest when ever I hear somebody using it but I find that I am often alone in my thinking and to many people it has just become another word, and it is often too energy consuming. I think there was a post like this before but, HOW DO Y'ALL FEEL ABOUT THE WORD N*GGA!

::looks around and notices everybody in a stir:: .....where ever there is a stir, you know a sista GOTS ta jump in!! Ok, so I am reading and it seems like the post is going in a 360.....for you slow people, that means round and round and round. If you look at the posts from like a month ago, you can see they are shockingly close to the ones today. Other people using it.....black people and the double standards....people who think its just a word.....all that bushoi. Well, I am going to flip the script a bit, hope you don't mind. The remaining portion of my post is for BLACK PEOPLE ONLY!! all you otha ni99as, just look away....... Aiight, have you ever had to defend yourself when people call you a ni99a and you say respectfully "don't call me that." It seems everytime I say that, people (ni99as) get angry. "What you mean don't call you that??" "You a ni99a, ain't you black??" I mean its like dayum. People really just don't get it. My brothers are a good example. they are younger, and they just don't get it. They call me that just out of spite....cuz they think its funny. My play cousin is the same way. She actually had the audacity to say "You's a ni99a, I's a ****, we alls a ni99a" Ok, so actually it was funny that she said that, I knew she was trying to be humorous. But deep down it is kinda sad. I think a majority of our younger people believe that. There is no seperateness from being black and being a ni99a......not everyone saw Chris Rock's "Bring the Pain" They think being black automatically means you are a ni99a and you have to take other black people calling you that. It gets on my nerves. And when I tell people of other races how I feel about that word, they step off. But not ni99as....they always gotta edge you on. 'Til it gets to the point where you really wanna start ackin' like a ni99a and sock they a$$ out! Ok, so let me calm down.....i want to see what you guys have to say about this. And another thing I have noticed, maybe its just me, but black people using the word "ni99er." And when I say black people, I am referring to the two examples I used above. That really trips me out. Hopefully that fad doesn't catch on...... "FE-FI-FO-FIGGA I HATE A NI99A!" ---Chris Rock

You are talking about the negative usage of the word. The negative usage of any word is wrong. Blatant disrespect is going to be blatant disrespect no matter what words you use. Are you trying to tell me it is impossible to use the word **** in a positive fashion? **** is not always meant to sting.
OF COURSE IT IS!!!!!!!!!!! **SMH** How in the world can N*gger be used in a positive fashion. That is ridiculous. Nobody in their right mind walks around saying hey "N*gger" seriously, I mean trying to take some of the sting out of the word and flip it to another word that is some what similar (IE n*gga) is one thing (which is bad in itself) but to blatantly use N*gger. PLEASE don't let that trend start....honestly my heart is to weak for that one I don't think I will be able to take it.

"The first statement makes sense and sums up my arguement. Things can be redefined. If we are living in the present who cares about the past. " --REALity **SMH**After that statement I might just have to leave it alone :? Seriously if you don't see the extreme importance the past has on both the present and the future, what is the point of educating yourself AT ALL. Education is in many ways simply taking the past and applying it to the future. :?

i just watched a documentary on the word...its time for us to stop letting a simple 5 or 6 letter word hold us down...i hate to say it but we are ALL ****...b/c our great great great great grandparents were ****...so in all we all have it in us...i'm not promoting the use of it...but it is true...and i still believe that it does bring the black community...b/c we need to watch how we use the word...i was at church playing basketball with some kids and one little boy got the best of the other one...they were only about 8...and the little boy goes up and pushes him and say's "man **** you better stop"...it was like the record had just stopped...another instance is that this guy was going over to Japan...he was a popular guy in the US...so the Japanese was trying to read up on American Culture, our slang words, our music, things like that...so the guy(who is black) walks into the airport and the people greet him "What's Up...My ****?"...so we need to be more cautious as to how when where we use the word...if we are going to use it!

Whoa!! Maybe I am not interpreting this correctly and help me if I am wrong but ummmmm....our ancestors were n*ggas? How is that when all they fought for was to be recognized as humans and have rights in the US, how exactly were they n*ggas. I am willing to bet my life that life that if you asked any of our ancestors to tell 100000000000 words that would describe them N*gga/ N*gger would not make the cut.

Tiptoes, uhm, I ain't no ni99a. And if you wanna be called that, its cool. Hail, if you want your ancestors to be called that, I can dig it. But don't drag mines in there.....that is just straight up rude. I would never disrespect any of my family members, especially those who are **** and can't defend themselves. My advice to you is next time, just watch what you are saying. don't say we are all ni99as, cuz clearly, most of us in this post are not!!!

i ain't mean to come off that way what i'm saying is that if you really were to ask one of our ancestors today what they were....being that they didn't know any better they would say they are a ****...it's truly not their fault...but like i've always said...its not what they call you...its what you answer to...if someone came to me and said whats up **** i'd give em' the "crazy look"...but i didn't mean anything in a demeaning way...and brainedwashed?? no i'm well aware of who i am...so obviously YOU have some kind of self hatred within yourself...and if anything i do believe that i was stating the facts
