What is he supposed to DO? Send the National Guard back here? It takes MONTHS to do that! And what about the rest of the soldiers out there? Leave hem without any sort of protection such as, road blocks, insurgent quartined areas, patrols?
Did you forget about the massive amounts of money that people, such as yourself, told Bush to send overseas to help **** victims? Did you FORGET that? Do yourself a favor and look at where that money came from.
Are they supposed to put aside monies specifically for New Orleans for something that may have happened in or around 10 years? And NY for ****attacks, not to mention San Francisco for Earthquakes?
Yeah, and Kennedy could have handled Cuba differently. There are a ton of underlying circumstances here, and the stance of what he is not doing is full of holes; the stance you are taking. It's not that he's not doing anything, it's that we don't have the FUNDS to do anything immediately.
So are you going to blame him for the war,and how his precognition allowed him to see the impending doom of N.O. and he went to war regardless?
I bash Bush for fun plenty, and I do also believe that we are too deep in International affairs for our own good. But you know, complaining about it doesn't do a damned thing. Not one. Intellectuals don't exacerbate the problem, they solve it.

Basically... so f!@# all of the above (including what i said), whats done is done.
I take this opportunity to encourage people to help out in some form or fashion once again, however, small it is.
For the record (although i'm sure most of the above isn't directed to me and you are speaking in general)... in a nutshell all i'm saying is that the United States government (not just the Bush administration or just Bush saw it coming), saw it coming and it could have been handled differently although there isn't too much that they could have done differently, but it would have been the difference of a couple of 1000 lives and chaos. That it. The Bush administration just happens to be who is in office now (although i personally do not think to highly of them). but enough talk on my part...
Who's gonna do something? thunder is right about people sittin on their computers complaining.

If you aren't doing anything about the situation you have no grounds to voice your frustrations.
