Each day I am going to list one of Robert Green's 48 Laws Of Power.
I'd like to hear your personal experiences related to THIS law where you were the one observing the law in action, utilizing the law or the one on the other end.
Today let's look at:
Law Two - NEVER PUT TOO MUCH TRUST IN FRIENDS, LEARN HOW TO USE ENEMIES
Be wary of friends - they will betray you more quickly, for they are easily aroused to envy. They also become spoiled and tyrannical. But hire a former enemy and he will be more loyal than a friend, because he has more to prove. In fact you have more to fear from friends than from enemies. If you have no enemies, find a way to make them.

wow, that's deep. and so true. i don't a single one of my friends as far as i could throw 'em. then again, wouldn't trust my enemies, either.
