The Laptop in Classroom Debate

I think it's crazy that a professor would ever ban students from using laptops in class. It's important to remember that college students are now adults and for that reason they should be given the respect and trust that they will be using their laptops for educational purposes while in class.. A big part of college is supposed to be takin responsibility for your learning and by babying students with laptop free zones your not giving them that opportunity. Plus banning laptops from class entirely would be unfairly punishing an entire group for the actions of a few..

i am a big advocate of lap tops in the class room! my high school requires every student has one , it just prepares you for the real world and the more skills we as students develop the more we can contribute
