Which do you side with? Why?
How do you explain the origin of humanity?

I believe that it is some combination of the two. While I agree with the scientific evidence that the human species evolved from other forms of life, the question of how this process began and took place remains unexplained by science.
How did we develop the ability for conscious, self-reflective thought which is unique to mankind? The ability to feel and express emotion outside of simple reflex action and fear?
We know about the "big **** theory" but not the larger concept of how our known universe fits into the sum total of existence. That, in my opinion, leaves only one explanation - a superior power that purposefully created the universe and mankind, and giving us free will to determine our own destiny.
By definition, that would constitute creationism.

Evolutionism...it makes more sense. "God" is just an excuse people use for being pathetic.
Lawd here comes someone else talking about "God" and people being pathetic.
You have a subjective opinion about "what makes sense" and for you to assert that as if just because you said it makes it right is indeed pathetic.
I'm getting my popcorn ready because WW3 is about to start. Where Sister Tamara at?
As far as my belief: Creationism.

I think Christians believe in god because they want it to be true. They can’t stand the idea that they will die someday and there will be no more THEM. They also don’t want the responsibility of taking care of themselves. So, they have to have some big daddy in the sky looking out for them. It makes them feel better just like when they were little kids and they knew momma and daddy were just in the next room if they got scared of the dark.

I think that Christians believe in God because they feel they need to live in the world, with some sort of purpose. They just can't get over the fact that life has no purpose, but to live. Nothing more, nothing less. Just be. That's my philosophy.

I hope I didn't offend anyone with that "big daddy in the sky" comment.
