Try CAU thats the reason I applied there because im interested in broadcast journalism and also the city of atlanta has several media outlets like cnn turner broadcasting and cartoon network just to name a few also according to rugg's recommendations( a book that suggests schools by major) Johnson C. Smith is a good choice and that's in charlotte , nc and they are a very technology emphasis school famu- also was on the list of rugg reccomondations- but i dont know how far you're willing to go thats too far for me lol i know its a lot but im going through the same thing you are with deciding what schools are suitable for my major i hope this helps some what

Hampton's Scripps Howard School of Journalism & Communications is among the best in terms of faculty, facilities, and career opportunities. Check this out to learn more: http://www.hamptonu.edu/shsjc/pdf/SHSJC_Winners.pdf HU has been very aggressive in developing their communications program... definitely worth looking into. Ever since Tony Brown was appointed dean, I've heard nothing but great things.

Also Try FAMU. The School of Journalism & Graphic Communication from the information on the schools website is excellent. "FAMU is the only historically black institution to have ever earned a writing Hearst Medallion, meaning it placed in the top 10 of all accredited journalism programs nationally – and it has done so five times, in 1995-96, 1996-97, 1997-98, 2002-03 and 2006-07"
