Though he copped to a plea that was supposed to jail him for 60 days, The Game is out of the slammer after serving just eight days behind bars.
The Game's lawyer, Chapman Holley, confirmed to TMZ that the rapper served only a fifth of his time before walking out of Twin Towers Correctional Facility in California a free man.
As SOHH previously reported, Game (born Jayceon Taylor) pled no contest to a felony charge of possession of a firearm in a school zone.
The alleged incident went down at South L.A.'s Rita Walters Educational Learning Complex on February 24 of last year. The Game pled not guilty to all charges in September and was looking at five years if convicted before accepting the deal.
He dropped a mixtape, BWS Radio #3: Free Game with his Black Wall Street camp before going in. The disc is the third installment of the BWS Radio street series and features all new material.
Game is currently working on his third solo album entitled LAX and SOHH Left Coast blog has reported that The Game will reuniting with mentor Dr. Dre for the project. LAX does not have a release date as of yet.

Just curious...is going to jail an "IN" thing? Do you get street credibility or something for how much time you serve?

For me personally going to jail isn't cool but the fact of the matter is many of our brothers and sisters are locked up. Depending how you were raised, where you were raised cats do get street cred b/c for the ones who are in the streets bangin & slangin they feel connected to these dudes b/c they have been in the same situation. Cats who do serve extended bids and who keep their integrity get a lot of respect when they come home b/c not everyone who goes to jail
make it back home b/c in jail or prison its a different world. I have family who have served jail & prison and they always told me to do the right things and stay focused b/c being locked up isn't what it is! They didn't make the right choices which landed them in jail or prison but I got mad respect for them b/c they came home and changed their lives.
