"To believe what has not occurred in history will not occur at all, is to argue disbelief in the dignity of man." Those are the words of Mahatma Gandhi, the slain Indian political and spiritual leader. Today, history is presented with incredible circumstances. As the nation watches, truly, history in the making. In the year 2008, this generation has saw two of the most incredible breakthroughs in modern American politics. A woman, and a Black man have won a stake in presidential history.
Whatever your opinion of the candidates, whatever happens, a "glass-ceiling" in one of the most exclusive clubs in all of history has been punctured. What a beautiful day for this country's children, to fully embrace the theme of this land, "the pursuit of happiness," "equality," and "ultimate freedom." Young people throughout this great country are being exposed to what our country can do, what we can individually achieve, and the breaking of trend, for the good of our nation and the world.
