Historicaly Black Colleges and univerities(HBCU) have contributed greatly to America as a whole. HBCUs give african americans(minority) students a oppertunity that they never would of had, college. The Fact that most of the population at the school is african american is only a plus. From my research HBCUs have out standing acedemics. they are focused. In society people look down upon african americans, so sucsess is they only way. I feel HBCUs are perfect for just that, thier dedication to help african americans succeed. that very reason makes them relevent in the present. there are meny lessons that can be learned by HBCUs. many say nobody uses less tact then your own. yes, HBCUs are not like the business wolrd. you develop the tough skin that is maditory for the business world. HBCUs teach us that there is always a way. many African Americans think they cannot go to college because of finacial, or other issues. there is always a way.
