Tuskegee University hosted top executives from the Raytheon Corporation on Aug. 28. John Harris II, Vice President of Contracts and Supply Chain; Mark E. Russell, Vice President of Engineering Technology and Mission Assurance' Daisy Jenkins; Vice President of Human Resources for Raytheon **** Systems; Hayward Bell, Chief Diversity Office; and Ron Reid, Engineering Director of Hiring, arrived via private jet at Tuskegee's historic Moton Field the morning of the visit.
The executives met with Dr. Benjamin F. Payton, Tuskegee University President, to discuss pending projects between the two entities. They also met with various members of the administration and faculty, particularly Dean of the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Physical Science, Dr. Legand Burge, and Interim Dean of the College of Business and Information Science, Dr. Tejinder Sara. Tuskegee's "Raytheon scholars" from business and engineering were also on hand to greet the executives and thank them for the opportunities that they have helped provide.
"Overall, I would say this was a great visit," Payton said. "I am always thrilled to have the opportunity to exchange ideas with those on the cutting edge of technology and innovation."
