What do you think is the most critical issue for the Black community today? If the government had to focus its spending on one issue of the above, which would take precedence? Just curious... Holla!

I definately believe that more money should be spend on education in the black community. Some of the things that I have seen and heard about in school districts are horrible and children can't possibly learn in those circumstances. Some kids don't have books, good teachers, and many other simple things that all student should have not just those in the 'burbs.

Thats not an excuse, it's a valid fact. Most inner city schools are not equal to suburban schools because the governmet give black schools less funding, if they do give them any at all. How do you expect these kids to reach their full learning ability if their not being provided with the proper resources for learning? I know from experience how it is having been to both a majority white highschool, then a majority black highschool. At the black school, we students didn't have a full classroom set of books, so the teacher would have to spend his/her money making copies to give to the whole class. Lots of teachers at black schools don't even care about their jobs because of the poor conditions. I don't know how many times my AP European history teacher use to walk out of class and go home, and leave us students in the class chillen without a teacher for 2 hours. And he was white too., but at a black school. Now how do you expect kids to learn under these conditions, furthermore, how do you expect a child to be motivated about learning, when the teacher isn't motivated? At the white school it was a whole different story. I say a definite yes, that the gov't should give more money to black schools and make some reforms to the education system.

I SAY both business and education, back businesses to be exact. Why because with positive ownership within our communities, The only way that our communities can grow is if we educated people on the importance of ownership and giving back to the schools and communities that need it the most.

YES IT REALLY IS ALL THEY HAD TO DO IS DO WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO IN GRADE SCHOOL . HAD THEY DONE THAT THAN THEY WOULD HAVE WENT TO COLLEGE. THERE IS NO EXCUSE YOU COULD GIVE ME. YOU HAD A BABY, YOU SHOULD HAVE KEPT YOUR LEGS CLOSED. YOUR PARENTS CANT AFFORD IT, WELL IF YOU HAD DONE WHAT YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO DO U WOULD HAVE GOT A SCHOLARSHIP. MY MOTHER WAS ON ****, I CAN THLNK OF 10 PEOPLE OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD THAT OVERCAME THAT OBSTACLE, INCLUDING SOMEONE ON THIS SITE. ANY EXCUSE U COME WITH I CAN GIVE A SOLUTION.

NO, I WAS TALKING ABOUT THE PARENTS, HAD THEY DONE WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO THAN THEY WOULD HAVE A BETTER JOB AND WOULD STAY IN THE BURBS. LIKE I SAID PEOPLE OVERCOME TRIUMPHS ALL THE TIME. SO IF YOU GOT TO WORK ALL THOSE JOBS THATS ON U, IF YOU HAD AN EDUCATION THAT IT WOULDNT BE SO HARD. IF YOU WERE NOT SMART ENOUGH THAN U GET WHAT YOU DESERVE. YEAH THE GOV'T SHOULD PUT MORE MONEY INTO THE SYSTEM BUT THE ONLY WAY THAT HAPPENS IS THROUGH A LEVY, AND IF THE PEOPLE OF THE COMMUNITY DONT WANT IT TO PASS THAN, THEY DONT GET THE MONEY, MORE MONEY IN SCHOOLS EQUALS HIGHER PROPERTY TAXES, AND IF THEY ALREADY STRUGGLING THAN THEY FOR DAMN SURE DONT WANT HIGHER TAXES. EVERYBODY GOT AN EXCUSE FOR EVERYTHING, WHEN IN REALITY THERE ARE NONE, U ARE IN THE POSITION YOU PUT YOURSELF IN.

Money should be spent on military, but not national secruity. We are a nation that was birthed as a war machine, when we but money into the military we get the best amount of trickle down economics ever.
