It's official like a ref with a whistle!
SMART IS THE NEW COOL!
I SHALL NO LONGER BE CALLED A NERRRD!!!
I AM COOOOOOOL
these last few days have truly been amazing.MLK day brought it back and the next day we inaugurate the first African American President of the United States. Crazy world. I'm so blessed that we are living at this time..
AMEN!
I remember I used to say I wish I could have lived through the 50's and 60's where the youth actually made a difference (I know it's weird that I would want to live in these times, I'm weird)
But that same revolution that I wanted so badly to be a part of is right before our eyes.
Now we, as youth, have that same chance as our mothers, grandmothers, grandfathers, and their grandparents had, to bring about drastic CHANGE in America, as cliche as it may sound at this point.
In the words of Michelle Obama, "I'm finally proud to be an American!"
Not to say that I haven't always loved my country, I just haven't always been happy with the decision on behalf of it.
This is the first step in our rebuilding process, and we all have a chance to be apart of it, rather locally or nationally, everyone has a chance to make a difference in their community!
