SNOW????

ok...i'm from texas...what is "snow"?... im used to wearing shorts and flip flops at christmas...lol...what do i need to bring, how do i dress...how long do it last..is class cancelled...etc... help me before i freeze my tail off

yall are crazy!!! everybody buggin over this weather and all my friends are mad at me because I'm going to a warm place and nobody else thinks its warm. people buggin offa 32 degree winters and we couldn’t get past 0 degrees. so first you shouldn’t worry now because it shouldn’t be 32 until like mid November, in Albany we hit that like in late October. you should get a nice fall jacket and a winter coat, I’d get one now because everything is clearance. a sweaters or sweatshirts( wearing a few at a time can do the same thing as a fall jacket) and buy long-sleeved shirts. but I am telling when you get there probably wont need them right away. you need pants (common sense), some sneakers (I know people like those canvas converse but ur feet will freeze and not to good in rain :cry: ) and boots but I’m not a big fan of them, I remember in Albany we had two feet of snow like two weeks in a row and I wish I had a pair but in DC I think the most they get per storm is like six inches, so really don’t think they are that necessary. anyway I'm giving you my idea of what I think might be good buys coming from a colder area, so current Howard students if their is something wrong or something I left out please correct.

lol im wit neka.. it will b nice going somewhere where you only get 6 inches of snow.. im from albany too and i remember this past winter we cancelled school cuz it was too cold out, not even snow but it was negative numbers without the windchill.. and 6 inches that didnt even give us a snow day.. SO i cant wait for DC winters.

wow... i feel spoiled- it's hot as hell out here in cali and i'm not EVEN ready for snow... and all that humidity out there in DC too. The weather's gonna take a lot of adjusting for me to do.

It ain't even all that bad... as long as the people clear the snow.. otherwise, it gets to be fun to have snow fights.. and just think... more cold weather.. more time to snuggle up w/ some1 :wink::wink: Naw, but your gonna need a good coat..nothing too bulky tho.. (I'm from Michigan, so my opinion might be biased)... umm.. some boots... If you from Cali, I'm sure you are gonna buy some Uggs (EWWWWW j/k) or some Tims ... uhh.. Common sense urges you to save your chucks til spring or even fall.. but not winter.. we get more rain than a good snow... but it does get cold.. so bring a good pair of gloves/scarf.. and be fashionable about it.. I mean we go to Howard-- Fashion capital of the world.... PUHLEEZ!!!!! Do NOT think you can **** it in stilettos during the snow, cuz we got some HILLS (call 'em mountains) and I will be the first one to LAUGH at you when you bust your ****... trust.. that is not the way to impress the Upperclassmen... WHen we have a lot of snow.. we don't have a lot of school.. but really pray for freezing rain.. that'll cancel skool for sure....
