Financial Help

Hello, My name is Rachael Gethers. Sadly, as of yesterday, my mother has informed me that my attendance at FAMU will no longer happen due to financial reasoning. I'm not sure where I stand on school for next semester or how I'm supposed to feel about the situation. From a realistic point of view, I understand we don't have the resoucres to pay for it out of pocket and I understand the importance of not being in debt coming out of college.  From a personal point of view,for lack of bettter word, I can't help but to feel disappointed and hurt. The real question is, where will I be attending school next semester with it only being a month away? Most of the schools I were accepted to were out of state or wanted me to start in the summer. At this point, I just need advice.

If you can't obtain a loan before school starts, consider either going to a Community College this fall while you obtain funding and then transfer to FAMU beginning in the Spring semester. If that's still not an option, sit out a year and work while you find funding to begin in Fall 2011. Don't let this stop you from attending college, if it's what you truly want.
