Spelman's Honors Program

I've lately been considering applying to Spelman this fall for the Class of 2015, and after some research I realized that I have a great shot at being accepted into the honors program there. I have a couple of questions about it:

If the Honors Program was an independent college, which colleges/universities would it be comparable to?

How does majoring work out for Honors Program students? I plan on being a French/history or French/international relations double major, so how would I fulfill those major requirements while being apart of the Honors Program?

And if anybody has experienced the program firsthand, will you please tell me everything you about it - what you liked and enjoyed, what you didn't, what you got out of it, what you wish were changed, etc.???
