American Conservation Experience, a Non-Profit Conservation Corps, in partnership with the National Park Service is seeking ONE CRDIP Research Historian Intern interested in dedicating 74 weeks in support of National Park Service at Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park in DC and Skagway, Alaska.
This is an opportunity to conduct special historical study on Company L (Buffalo Soldiers), an African-American military unit stationed in Skagway, Alaska during the Klondike Gold Rush.  Research will occur at research institutions in the Washington, D.C. area followed by significant time stationed at Klondike Gold Rush (KLGO) National Historical Park in Skagway, AK.
 
Phase 1: 
Start: April 8, 2018
End: December 29, 2018 
Duration: 38 weeks*
Locations: 20 weeks in Washington, D.C. plus 18 weeks in Skagway, AK.
 
Phase 2:
Start: Dec 30, 2018
End: Sept. 7, 2019
Duration: 36 weeks
Location: Skagway, AK
