The University of the Virgin Islands announced Monday the appointment of Virgin Islander, Dr. Tai Hunte-Ceasar as founding dean of the UVI S. Donald Sussman School of Medicine.According to the release, the medical school is on track to becoming the first Historically Black College and University (HBCU) medical school to be established since 1975 and the only public medical school in the nation.
