Do frats and sorors always resort to mudslinging?

First of all I'd like to say that this is not meant to disrespect anyone or their sorority or fraternity. :arrow: ...Since joining and reading some of the post, especially here in the Greek section, all I notice is people arguing back and forth about their sororities and fraternities. Then from their the topic leads away from the sorority or fraternity to the individual person. I know everybody loves their sorority or fraternity, but is it always like this? Even on campus? Why can't we all just get along? I'm not in a sorority yet, I'd like to be, but I'm not sure which one yet. What I do know is that if and when i do crossover, I will wear my colors and letters proud b/c I know I joined b/c that sorority right for me. I will defend my sorority into the ground, but I will do it in a mature manner and without the use of mudslinging and slanderous comments So everybody let me know what ya think and remember I'm not intentionally trying to show any disrespect!

You came out very indiscreetly and said that you: 1. Wanted to be in a sorority, and 2. I'm not in a sorority YET !!!!!!!! Sorry babe, but you f*cked up.... :evil: Next, you come on here sayin why people are arguin the way that they do, but you say that you WILL do it in A MATURE MANNER??? So are you calling the people on here immature??? and Lastly.... You cant assume anything about any particular group based on one of many message boards on the internet... *waits patiently for the backlash*... 8) Oh yeah,... for the 10,000,000,000th time.... Discretion is Key... :wink:

I don't see what's wrong wit what I said...at least when I said something I was talkin about myself. YES, one day I would like to be in a sorority, what wrong wit that? I like the idea of sisterhood and being around women who have some of the same morals and standards as myself. If you have a problem wit that than you just do, b/c it's your opinion and it's not my place to change it, but in return don't try to change my opinion or thoughts. NO, I'm not in a sorority yet...I wanted to let that be known, so it wouldn't seem like I'm tryna pretend to be something I'm not and maybe some people would see where I'm coming from. NO, I'm not calling anyone immature. Once again, I was talking about myself and what I'd do. Did you once see me say anything about anyone being immature. NO I think not. I'd appreciate it if you didn't try to put words in my mouth. NO, I have not assumed anything about anyone or their frat or sorority on here. I just stated what I had seen. I didn't say anything about not liking ABC or XYZ just b/c of what I had seen online...If you went back through and read you'd see that my question was IS IT like this on campus? not IT IS like this on campus, b/c I don't know that is why I asked. Last but not least...what are you talkin about by saying DISCRETION IS KEY? In MY opinion, I feel I was being discreet. I didn't call any names out, I just generalized and said frats and sorors. Also, I don't think that my saying I want to be in a sorority is not being discrete. I have no problem wit saying what I want. I didn't say that I'm gonna be in this or that sorority, b/c... 1. I'm not sure what sorority I want to be in? Maybe it'll turn out that I won't want to be in one at all, but for now I do. 2. I'm not stupid enough to say I know I'm going to be in this sorority b/c I know I don't know. I may want to be an ABC, but if they don't want me in their sorority I know I won't be. When it comes down to it I will follow my heart. I have family and friends who are close to me in all the sororities and of course they'd like it if I followed in their footsteps, but they know that the final decision is mine and they told me to do what is right for me. Have a good day...just to let you know I have no prob wit you...you were stating your opinion and I was stating mine, so hopefully you feel the same about me, but I don't know you so maybe not...people ARE allowed to have a difference of opinion!

Question: Do sorority/frat members always mudsling? Answer: No, do not base what you see on the net as relevant to the entire org or even that person's respective chapter. Adding: there is lots of Greek unity on my campus 8)
