MOREHOUSE... get ready

Get ready Morehouse College... here I come. I FINALLY got my acceptance letter from Morehouse, and I am jubilated . I have dreamed of Morehouse for the longest, but before I make my final decision I want to know the good and the bad. All Men of Morehouse, let me know all that should be known by an incoming student (and don't sugar coat it). And also, does anyone know who I should talk to/beg about scholarship monies because I know that the closed mouth doesn't get fed. :wink:

Congrats! When did you apply, how long did it take to hear , all of that good stuff?

:cry: :cry: :cry: dont worry these r tears of joy :cry: :cry: :cry: A your new Morehoue brother, (thats right ej I got to him first) let me just tell you that the good is gonna out weigh the ****. The bad is just like any other college in terms of dorm life so dont worry about that. THe classes are gonna challenge you. There's always something to do in the ATL. And most of all the atmosphere at Morehouse is like no other. MOrehouse is holy ground and the brotherhood here is like no other. Im gonna assume ej will post next and add some more stuff oh yea....Welcome to da House!!! Now thats what I call a Christmas present.

Thanx for all the luv everybody. More good news, got another letter today telling me that they'll pay tuition. Does anyone know how I can get more (not to be ungrateful or anything)? I see ol boi got tha academic scholarship (the one i got that's covering tuition). Well that's about half the burden off ya. Now all you need is more money. Let's see... I'd say next step would be filling out that FAFSA and see what rewards come from that; more than likely you will get Pell Grant and Work-Sudy. Also, there's a plethora of scholarships just waiting to be applied for; keep an eye out for those as well. If you go to church, that's another plus; churches will be glad to help students get to school in their best way possible. And rememeber this: EVERY dollar counts! Oh yeah, congrats! You gonna enjoy it! 8) (wonders why ej hasn't posted yet)
