what advice could yall upperclassmen fukkers( you know i love yall :twisted: ) give us freshies??? advice on ANYTHING.. what to do, what NOT to do,stuff we should know...ANYTHING!!!!! :wink: thANks fukkers :twisted:

*TIME MANAGEMENT IS KEY* *Do Everything Early (The lines at Foote Hilyar can be horrendous) *Don't spend all of your time chillin on THE SET. Every know and then go and check out the Black Archives. A lot of important material goes unnoticed because no one ever goes in there. You're still at a BLACK COLLEGE so become familiar with your roots. *Remember this: NO ONE AT FINANCIAL AID CARES ABOUT YOU. Don't rely on those people to do things for you. Get it done yourself. *Don't get caught up this fall. With football season going on it's quite easy to get lost in all of the madness. These are just things that I experienced and noticed my first year. I had to learn the hard way.

Not true. Get to know someone inside the office like a scholarship coordinator, Ms. Jerger, or a counselor who actually cares, Ms. Whitley, or someone. The new director is very approachable if u can get past the window. If all else fails the **** them with kindness approach does work(it takes some time but it works) ALWAYS approach the person with positive energy, and a smile, or a simple Good Morning/Afternoon wouldn't hurt. They are more apt to help you. This applies to any office in Foote Hilyer, professors, bookstore, etc. I used to work in the bookstore and currently work in Foote Hilyer now if u come with the wrong attitude the people who will help u will have someone else help you. Remember we are all humans who can CONTROL our attitudes. Get to know your department chair or someone in that office because they get a lot of scholarship money, research grants, jobs. Register with the Career Center they can help you prepare for the Career Expo and other jobs or interviews you may have. MAKE COPIES OF EVERYTHING We can only say so much from our experiences but another part of college education is the lessons you take from your experience (i.e. dorms, cafe, classes, friendships developed/broken) Best Wishes and God Be With You

yeah all 3 of them pretty much sum everthing up. Keep a positive attitude, but dont let nobody run over you. *make copies of all your shyt, even receipts. *Stay focus! FAMU have alot of activities going on, but dont let that over take your studies habits *Pray about any situation *Have fun! Dont let a load of work bring you down. Take a break, chill, and stay stress free. $If you can make it at FAMU, then you can make it anywhere$ And when you feel like FAMU is getting on your last nerves, just remember God let everthing happen for a reaon and he will never put more on you them you can bare!

cosigns I would have like a 3.0 or above at my second choice with half as much runnin around. Better to deal with now and find solutions to the BS then let the real world beat me down. What doesn't **** you, only makes you stronger and you will be stronger than a motha f@@ker after u leave FAMU. Won't nothing phase u(depending on your major and other things)
