Earlier this year Lil Scrappy was allegedly assaulted by a police officer during a concert at a Florida high school and now the rapper is about to unload a $250 lawsuit on the Orlando Police Department.Advertisement
“Police everywhere get prepared. I’m suing all you sons of b**ches. You put your hands on a superstar or a star or somebody with money, you lose your money,” Lil Scrappy told BET.com
“I tried to tell y’all that but what’s going on with it. We got the NAACP looking at it. It’s going down real big. Black folk, White folk everybody [is] getting involved and we going to get that money - $250 million. If I can’t get that, I will settle in court right now for $90 million. Holla at your boy,” the Atlanta native said.
The incident was captured on video tape at Dr. Phillips High School in March and shows Officer Richard Bailey Jr. shove Lil Scrappy off of the stage and into the crowd. Now, Bailey is the subject of an internal police investigation.
According to published reports, Bailey says that Lil Scrappy and other rappers were attempting to "invoke a riot response from the crowd."
Lil Scrappy’s manager Tommy “Serious” Phillips was arrested and charged with battery on a law-enforcement officer. The Officer Bailey said that Lil Scrappy tried to stop him from arresting Phillips.
