A big selling point in the upcoming election is both candidates' military service - with Kerry touting his tour of duty in Vietnam, while Bush keeps pushing his service in the Air Force and promoting his commitment to a strong national defense?
Does this have any effect on your opinion of either one? Do you think it's being hyped up and embellished? What, if any, leverage can George Bush or John Kerry gain from their bravado? Just curious to see what everyone thinks...
Holla!

bush really has no leverage to run on his record as a member of the Air National gaurd, especially since he only joined to dodge the draft. and on top of that he went AWOL during his service and opted to go bar hopping in Alabama. And i think its a shame to watch republicans bash kerry on his service in Vietnam, while there boy was as i said before Barhopping.
just cause you served in 'nam doesn't mean you're qualified to be president!
there are alot of homeless cats that served in 'nam too, should we put them on a ticket? why does kerry keep making this an issue?
it's what you did while in government, and judgeing his voting, he's unfit for command and the american people agree cause dubya has like a double digit bounce comming out of his convention.
and kerry got no bounce coming out of his...explain that one.
