I've been listening to gospel music since the beginning of my time. I listen to secular music also...but I been getting excited because now more christian artist are aiming toward the youth and young adults. Most of the songs from albums can beat out just like secular music can. Even some of the music videos have gotten a little better.I am just wanted to know why many people are not interested in christian rap and r&b? Why doesn't it sell?

I haven't heard the word "secular" since I was in private school....
Anyways...have you ever heard of a girl group called "Out of Eden?"
i havent heard a whole lot of christian rap, but from what i have heard the artist havent had much talent. i really cannot listen to music if the artist arent talented.

truth be told christian rappers dont have any talent. i love gospel music, its the best form of music to me. but we need some christian rapper that can create metaphors and have hot punchlines just like any other rapper would. i dont want to hear, "your arms are too small to box with God." that is so elementary. its a cliche now. i also notice that there verses are to "general." they need to personalize there raps more and come from the heart and stop giving us those lame verses about how Jesus can save us. we know that. we need to flip it. i've been lookin for a good christian lyricist for a long time now cuz i am a producer. its a lost cause. hopefully they will come around. they just to disguise what they are really trying to say. dont be so blately(spell check) christian. with a secular artist u might go back like 2 or 3 times to catch what they have to say becuz their play words are so hot, and that is what makes us listen to them. thats what God rappers need to them and i hope they start doin.
they also need marketing. videos all that stuff. selling music is like investing in stocks. the bigger the riskm the bigger the return. i'm telling u the more they invest in their gospel artists, the more money they will return. cuz u know its all about money to them. they dont care that they could atleast balance out all the other evil, non-talented non-sense theu put out the rest of the year.

A lot of people do not believe in mixing the two. That’s why Michelle of Destiny’s Child is catching a lot of hell right now, because some don’t think its right for her to have a Gospel LP and then sing about how she needs a soldier and sleeping in niccas T-shirts..lol.. I honestly don’t think she doing anything wrong...
