As it says, I just got into VSU and I start in the fall. I'm just really looking for some feedback on the school before I decide that that's where I wanna be.I heard its good as far as academics, but what about the social/party scene?!?!?!? I'm not trying to be stuck like chuck in no boring **** school............holla back!!!

HUH? You heard what? VSU is a party school, where have you been? Oh maybe you are out of state  . But anywayze i dont go to VSU, yes i was accepted there, but their academic challenge for me was on a LOW level. I plan on being a nurse and VSU was not the way to go. I dont know really how good they are for academics, but every single person i know who goes there now or went there-transferred after their first year because of the fact it is not a "academic" school. You are better off visiting and seeing if you like it or not, if not you can check out Virginia Commonwealth University(my school
) 20 min away, or if u want another HBCU Virginia Union University, right down the street from VCU. Good Luck! 8)

Congratulations on your college acceptance! I'm sure you'll enjoy your experience at Virginia State University. Please don't become discouraged by negative comments of others. Some people feel that if you don't do it their way, it's not the right way. You also have people who feel that White is ALWAYS right...no matter what. What's right for you may not be right for someone else. I applaud any young person who chooses to further his/her education...no matter what school you attend. Just remember...school is what you make it. If you are weak and choose to follow the wrong crowd, you will fall by the wayside, no matter where you go to school. Good luck on your college career.
