Ladies, I encourage you all to apply for the Bonner Scholarship. I must say that this is a very hard scholarship to get. There are many applicants and only about 20 openings. But, still apply!!!! I am a freshman and i applied for it and I did not recieve it because of the large number of applicants, but, that was just me. The Bonner Scholarship is a community service scholarship. You will have to do a certain number of community service hours. Most of the people I know that are Bonner Scholars do community service at least 3-5 times a week, and on weekends. It is a lot of work, but the scholarship is worth it. Whatever monies you don't have, the scholarship will finish paying. Please apply ladies!!! It is a very good scholarship and maybe your luck wont be like mine...hope to see all you ladies in fall of 2005!!!

This is why I want to attend Spelman... unbridled support. Thanks, girl! Even though I'm being facetious with my self-doubt, I appreciate that motivation. Hopefully, I really will get the scholarship...
