Is it really that hard to get into Spelman...

Im just wondering. Is it really like a Black Ivy League School. So many people are saying its hard to get into and you have to have a lot of community service. Has anyone got accepted there yet? I have the grades but I was just wondering what else do you need to have.

For anyone intersted in the answer to this question: Spelman admitted 36% of its applicants last year. From what I'm hearing Spelman is raising its standards even more. Even with this change it won't come close to the 7-9 percent admittance rates of some ivy league schools.

Nope, it seems difficult for certain people though....And no, it is nowhere near an ivy league in educational quality or ability of applicants...

My twin sister and I were admitted to Spelman and we didn't have large amounts of community service but we did have awesome grades and test scores. Good luck!
