To all my New York State Residents....

Aren't you upset that there is no HBCU in New York State! I am...I really want to go to an HBCU but NYS has none. The reason I would want them to have one because NYS has TAP (Tuition Assistance Program) and that can basically pay 3/4 or more of my tuition but you are only eligible if you go to school in NYS.

Well...you can always come to the city and go to Medgar Evers College which is a CUNY, and TAP definitely covers that.

Research the history or rather the reasoning for HBCU's and you'll kinda see why. It would have been cool to have an HBCU in NY though.

Yeah I heard about Medgar Edgars but I spoke to a couple of people that go there and the one girl said it was like a public highschool. She says the only reason she went there was to cover tuition with TAP...I only spoke to three people though..I guess I have to get more opinions

****, DONT EVEN CONSIDER MEDGAR EVERS TO BE A "COLLEGE", it is a high school basically every CUNY in NYC is except for Brooklyn College, Hunter and Baruch. I REPEAT, DON'T EVEN CONSIDER MEDGAR EVERS TO BE A COLLEGE. The area is not that great, and you can't even differentiate the high school students that attend the high school from the college students. ****
