My Music (poetry)

My Music Headphones on, music blaring, and I nod my head, My body is still living, but my souls far past ****, Forget the problems I got, I go through too many trials, I feel like fish in an Egyptian river, I live in De-Nile(denial), So much stuck on my chest, I'm too much of a man for tears, I keep to myself, the things I say no one wants to hear, Death of family that I miss dearly, the loss of close friends, Anguish to the point I almost wish my life would come to its end, The scars on my back from the abuse I took, blood on the carpet, My generation deteriorating because someone used what he kept in his pocket, It's getting so hard for me to stay close to Glory, And you think that this is poetry? No, I'm telling my life story, Little girls getting ****, then they taking their own lives, Leading to another funeral, but I already said I can't cry, That’s when I close my eyes and my headphones on and listen, Connecting with the other hearts of everyone else who’s in the same position, Every word takes me to a new world where I can finally fly, That’s why I don't my life in my music, my music is what keeps me alive.

Give me a "Sittin up in my room, thinkin about life" feel. Not bad mon frere...
