To all you very intelligent students attending HBCUs what are your study habits to earn good grades and keep a 4.0 for the whole 4 years.

I hope thats not the implication here. As for study habits, its all about time management. You have to develop your habits according to your preferences and schedule, trust me freshmen orientation will tell you all about that. As for myself. I worked two jobs this year so my study habits were to just to stay ahead on the reading. I read the first two chapters from everybook before the class even kicked off. Then as the semester continued, I read while on break from work or whenever I wasnt sleeping. Like I said u build it around what you got going, I didnt do bad this semester but I didnt do as well as I wanted to do. Buy hey, school aint free or cheap so I gotta do what I gotta do.

At a time management work shop I learn this technique: 1. Read the chapter to be presented in class before the class meets (this allows you to already know what the professor is talking about and to already know what you need assistance with understanding, therefore the professor acts more as a refresher not a teacher) 2. Take notes in class. 3. Re-write and read your notes the same day as the class (while the information is still fresh on your mind). This reinforces the information and enables you to learn and retain the information instead of memorizing it. Oh, and having a planner will make life alot easier.

Make sure you do ALL the suggested problems that you get in math class. It really helped me last semester.
